Our Waldorf-inspired Kindergarten for ages 4 - 6 offers a gentle, unhurried beginning to formal education, guided by the Waldorf school philosophy of Rudolf Steiner and rooted in Biblical truth. We believe that warmth and beauty are essential to learning and bridging the home and school. Natural materials, soft colors, seasonal nature tables, and a steady daily rhythm create an atmosphere where children feel secure, inspired, and deeply at home. Through whole-child education—nurturing heart, head, and hands—children learn primarily through imitation, play, movement, and meaningful work. Each day includes storytelling, circle games, songs and Bible verses, a main lesson activity, and lots of imaginative free play. Living arts are woven throughout the year as children bake bread, make soup, garden, paint with watercolor, model with beeswax, learn to felt, make simple, enchanting handcrafts, and help care for their classroom environment. Seasonal festivals and nature tables mark the rhythm of the year, cultivating gratitude and wonder. Social and emotional growth is gently guided through cooperative play, modeling, conflict resolution, archetypes and stories that inspire wonder, and opportunities to practice kindness and responsibility. Academically, children develop strong foundations for pre-writing and pre-reading through rich oral language, fine motor development, form drawing, handwork, and exposure to beautiful stories. By the end of the year, each child will have a collection of their own beautiful artwork, along with handmade crafts that reflect both skill and creativity. This kindergarten experience protects childhood while carefully preparing children—academically, socially, and spiritually—for the grades to come.
