Kindergarten 
Focused Learning

Core Classes

  • Elementary core classes are 2-day classes. Students will attend both Mondays & Wednesdays for each core class hour taken. A one day option is available, but parents will be expected to present the new information and material on the second day to ensure the student stays on track with the class schedule.

  • Each class has a supply list. 

Kindergarten Focused / Alternative Learning

Focused Kindergarten is a class for children who are ready to learn the necessary academic, social, behavioral and emotional skills needed to enter Kindergarten the following year. We will utilize the Abeka curriculum while also incorporating play, imagination and creativity into our daily routine.

Supplies Needed: 

- A full size backpack

- nap mat

- spill-proof cup that remains at school

Elective Classes

  • Elementary elective classes are 1-day classes. Students will either Mondays or Wednesdays depending on class enrolled in. Each elementary elective class is $120 per semester unless otherwise noted.

  • Each class has a description, supply list and/or supply fee listed. 

5th Hour Elective Classes

Days Offered: Monday, Wednesday

Class Description:

We find that after Core classes these young kiddos just need some playtime with their friends! They need to be young and learn valuable lessons through experience. So we offer this time of refreshment, and fun!

KinderCare

Days Offered: Monday, Wednesday

Class Description:

This class provides students with the opportunity to learn a variety of games, sports, and sport related movements as well as health and fitness education. Focus is on sportsmanship during fitness and sport activities. Get ready for fun and exercise!

P.E.

Days Offered: Monday

Class Description:

Little Bits is a hands-on earth science class created for kindergarten, first, and second grade students. The curriculum was developed by OERB (Oklahoma Energy Resource Board). The goal for this class is to give students a basic understanding of petroleum and how it relates to the world in which they live. Some of the topics that will be covered are different types of rocks and their properties, sound and vibration, push and pull, renewable and nonrenewable resources, location of oil, discovery of oil in Oklahoma, signs of danger on the oil field, and products made from petroleum. Thoughtfully written children's books accompany this curriculum, allowing the students to learn with the help of Petro Pete, the main character in the books.

KinderCare

Class Description:

Playful Pioneers is an explorative literature and projects based class, built around The Little House on the Prairie series. Throughout this class, we will cover: Bible, reading, discussion, narration, science, history, map work, art, poetry, and practical life skills, which will all flow from chapters that we read in these beloved books. Each week will involve making either a coordinating craft or a selection from The Playful Pioneers cookbook. Lots of fun will be had, while we focus on hands-on learning.

Supplies Needed:

- Provided - We will be making all sorts of interesting foods and projects, for which all will be purchased with the associated fee. I’ll also provide a folder for each child to keep all of their papers/projects in until the end of the semester and a classroom supply of crayons, colored pencils, watercolors, etc. All supplies will be provided, using supply fee.

Playful Pioneers

Days Offered: Wednesday

Class Description:

STEM is designed to educate students in the four discipline areas of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. At times, art will also be added, making it STEAM. Each of the disciplines are integrated through project based learning of real world applications requiring problem solving. The following are skills that are developed through STEM: problem solving, creativity, inquiry skills, math and science skills, engineering-design thinking, critical thinking, and collaboration.
